Connecting Colchester is a coalition of local volunteers advocating for people to enjoy more convenient and safe options to both get where we need to go and to have healthy recreation opportunities wherever we live.
Our plans include:
- Auditing existing transportation corridors and recommending ways to improve accessibility and safety.
- Advocating for better signage, crosswalks, bike racks, and infrastructure improvements.
- Hosting fun events to build community and connections.

Upcoming Events:
GROUP FUN RIDE — Sunday, May 31 at 1pm | Colchester Recreation Center to Burnham Library
Connecting Colchester is hosting a casual group ride from the Rec Center to the Library — round trip ~10 miles, 200 feet of climbing, with a stop at Mountain Trail Bike Shop and Village Scoop for springtime creemees. We'll wind through the path behind Colchester Middle School and ride together through some of Colchester's less-explored paths. Ride leaves from the Colchester Rec Center at 1 pm. All levels welcome.
