Join us to learn about Streets as Places, a new community micro-grant program supporting Vermonters who want to bring neighbors together by hosting block parties and other street gatherings during the summer and fall of 2026. 

 Led by Local Motion in partnership with AARP Vermont, the Preservation Trust of Vermont, and Front Porch Forum, the program offers small grants of $200–$500 to help residents temporarily transform neighborhood and village streets into welcoming spaces for connection, celebration, and shared community life. 

 This webinar will introduce the program, explain how the micro-grants work, and offer practical ideas for organizing simple, inclusive street gatherings that bring neighbors together across generations. Whether you live on a quiet neighborhood street or in the heart of a village, Streets as Places is about reimagining our streets as places where community can thrive.
