VIBE (“Very Inspiring Bicycle Enthusiast”)

Are you one of our frequent Valet Bike Parking customers? Or maybe you plan to come to a lot of events around Burlington this season?

We want to make it easier for you to leave your bike with us!  Sign up to be a VIBE for a quick and easy check-in process when you park with us.

Here’s how it works:

  • You fill out an online form with your contact and bike info
  • We send you a uniquely numbered metal sticker to affix to your bike
  • Let us know that you're a VIBE when you show up at the Valet Bike Parking tent. We give you a claim tag, and you go have fun!
    • This way, you don't have to fill out a contact info form every time you park with us. Becoming a VIBE makes parking quick and easy!

It is free for you to become a VIBE, but there are costs associated with the program. The stickers cost $5 a piece to print, plus the administrative labor behind the scenes. Please consider a small donation to help us offset the costs, and help to keep Valet Bike Parking an option at events around Burlington. Thank you for supporting active transportation in our city!

VIBE FAQ

I have three bikes and I love to ride all of them to different events. How do I sign up for all three?

Please fill out the registration form for each different bike. We will give you an asset tag for each bike. You may register as many bikes as you would like.

 

My family all bike to events together. Can I sign up once for all of us?

Please fill out the registration form for each different bike. We will give you an asset tag for each specific bike. When you sign up for multiple bikes with the same address, we will mail out your tags together. 

 

I got a new bike, can I move my sticker from my old bike?

No! the stickers are impossible to move. Simply sign up again with your new bike’s information or send us an email to [email protected], and we will remove your old bike from the list. 

 

What happens if I am no longer using a bike registered with VIBE?

Please send us an email to [email protected] and we will remove that bike from our list.

 

What if I move away?

Just let us know! Send an email to [email protected] and we will remove that bike from our list.

 

Is this a bike registry?

Local Motion retains information about your bike and your contact information. In the event that your bike is stolen and is recovered by the police, we can use the unique number on your VIBE sticker to help reunite you with your bike. Please note that the VIBE program is not meant to serve as a bike registry, and we always recommend registering your bike with an independent bike registry. If you live in Burlington, register your bike with the Burlington Police Department. If you live outside Burlington, you can register your bike via BikeIndex.org. 

 

What if my VIBE asset tag falls off?

It won't fall off! However, if it for some reason you need a new one, please email us at [email protected].
