Worried about riding near cars? Unsure how to teach your children safe cycling habits? New-ish to biking? Smart Cycling is a workshop series to help you get started. Learn the skills and gain confidence to ride safely on the road and with traffic through hands-on training with our League Certified Instructor.
Local Motion's Smart Cycling is a two-session workshop series, including one virtual learning session on October 29 and an in-person on-bike session on November 1.

Overview
First session: Virtual (link will be emailed to participants)
6-7 PM October 29
- Why bike?
- Rules of the road
- Road etiquette/tips (gear, visibility, signaling, etc)
- Route planning & maps
- A focus on fall & winter riding (how to deal with weather, riding at night, etc)
Second session: On-bike
2-5 PM November 1
- Parking lot drills, essential basic biking skills
- Supported group bike ride
Optional: Join us for an EZ Breezy bike ride to put your new fall and winter riding skills to the test, but still have the support of Local Motion staff! We meet on the last Tuesday of every month, all year round.
