The Local Motion Board of Directors has announced the retirement of the organization’s Executive Director, Karen Yacos. Her last day is set for November 1st, 2022. The Board has organized a search committee which will begin at once to locate Local Motion’s next Executive Director.
“Karen has worked tirelessly to broaden the organization’s outreach to donors and critical partners in sustainable transportation, expanding the Local Motion footprint statewide,” remarked Board Chair Katie Langrock. “Her visionary leadership led to the organization’s newly minted 2022 Strategic Plan.”
“I feel fortunate to have been a part of an organization with a mission so closely aligned with my own values,” said Yacos. “I am grateful that I got to work with such talented staff, and an engaged constituency and Board, in our efforts to make it possible for anyone in Vermont who wishes to walk, roll, or ride a bike to do so safely.”
The Board of Directors has launched a Search Committee and are encouraging interested parties to apply. The application deadline is September 16, 2022
