The Town of Colchester is conducting a series of projects to protect the scenic, recreational, and water resources provided by the Bay. This series is called the "Malletts Bay Initiative". One of the projects, The MBI Stormwater & Transportation Project is a three-prong project that will help to 1. protect the Bay's water quality via a new stormwater management system; 2. transform West Lakeshore Drive to better accommodate all users; and 3. reduce congestion at the Lakeshore Drive and Blakely Road intersection. A public meeting is being held to go over the details and receive community feedback about this project.
