The goal of this workshop is to demystify the bicycle. Participants will learn basic bike anatomy and vocabulary, how to care for your bike, how to diagnose common issues, and how to fix a flat tire. We’ll recommend tools for maintenance and on-the-road fixes and attendees will go home with a free bottle of lube, a patch kit, and a pair or tire levers.
The workshop is two hours long. Please wear closed toe shoes and clothes that can get a little dirty. Participants are invited to bring their bike but there are bikes available to work on if transporting your own bike is difficult.
FREE PIZZA.
Each participant will leave with $10 worth of Spoke Bucks to spend on tools at Old Spokes Home. If 10 or more people show up, one lucky attendee will go home with a $50 Old Spokes Home gift card. This workshop and the materials provided are made possible with support from our friends at Local Motion.
