Intervale XC Skiing
Intervale Trail Waiting for Snow

We groomed the trail Wednesday, Feb 24 at 1pm, but warm weather has again taken away all of our snow.  It's been a tough winter for skiing in the Queen City.

A reminder for walkers on the Intervale Trail -- please stay to the side of the groomed trail -- we've kept the groomed ski trail off the main walking trail as much as possible.

Thanks to the 10 volunteers who turned out in December to prepare this season's ski trails.  We'll be grooming the 3-mile route from Intervale Compost to the Ethan Allen Homestead through March!

WARNING: Several break-ins have been reported in the Intervale. As a precaution, LEAVE NO VALUABLES IN YOUR VEHICLE.

Background

When weather permits, volunteers will groom a 3-mile XC ski trail in Burlington's Intervale this winter for both classic and skate skiers.

Staying active in the winter can be a challenge, so we hope this will help more people recreate through the colder months.

Parking:
* Intervale Road by Tommy Thompson community gardens
* Ethan Allen Homestead, first lot once you leave the Beltline

The Intervale is not a resort so please don't expect exquisite conditions, but it is a quick and easy place to go! More details on the Intervale Trail can be found at Local Motion's Trail Finder!
