Situated just north of Burlington, Colchester is a mix of rural and suburban living on the shores of Lake Champlain as well as inland. Colchester serves as the entry point to the Colchester Causeway, Island Line Ferry, and South Hero Island. It also is home to parks and natural areas such as Airport Park and the Colchester Bog Natural Area.

We are  supportive of local efforts to make Colchester a better place to walk and bike. We have held workshops encouraging local employees to make two wheel transportation a part of their routine through our Everyday Bicycling Training.

in Airport Park Local Motion built a bicycle rest area which provides a covered stopping place for people who seek regional bike information as well as a healthy dose of local culture and history. Colchester also includes many important regional bike connections with northern Burlington.
