Brattleboro's Safe Streets Project—a group that formed with support from Local Motion—organized a Safer Streets Forum on May 5. Several dozen people turned out for a series of presentations and Q&A with town officials and representatives of various nonprofits. Local Motion was honored to be a part of the event. The forum was organized with three goals in mind:
The town will inform residents of ongoing work and projects that relate to bike/ped infrastructure
Local volunteer groups will inform residents of their work on projects that relate to bike/ped safety
Town residents have a chance to bring their concerns directly to the various groups who work on bike/ped issues
