I had to make a quick drive out 127 to the Hannaford Shopping Center and almost forgot that all the striping had been done for the bike lanes on North Avenue. From a driver's perspective, I found it to be much more "relaxing". Normally there is a lot of jockeying by other, faster drivers and left turns are always a bit stressful. With the turn lanes, it's all laid out in a way that makes it much easier to deal with. I haven't biked on the lanes yet, but did notice more cyclists. I didn't have to make any unsafe left-lane maneuvers to go around at a safe distance, which is less stressful (I imagine) for the cyclist. Thanks!
