The Local Motion Bike Ferry helps you get from the mainland to the islands and back. We have four maps that show the Island Line, the Champlain Islands, neighboring Quebec and regional routes, and the Lake Champlain Bikeway.
The Island Line Trail starts south of downtown Burlington in Oakledge Park and parallels the lake shore past nature reserves and across the Colchester Causeway via the Bike Ferry. From there you can access the many trails that criss-cross the Champlain Islands.

The Auberge Harris map is a wonderfully illustrated complete map of circuits and routes all around Lake Champlain -- in New York, Vermont, the Champlain Islands, and eastern New York state as well as Quebec, Canada. Auberge Harris is an inn 20 minutes from Montreal facing the Richelieu River. The map features lodging, restaurants, and bike shops in the Lake Champlain region.

In several editions, the Lake Champlain Bikeways maps cover dozens of possible cycling loops in Grand Isle County, Chittenden County, Franklin County, Addison/Rutland/Windsor Counties, Essex County (NY), and Clinton County (NY). They feature some 1,636 total network miles for bicyclists.

We thought to ourselves: "If cars have rest areas, so should bikes." Luckily for those of us who love to walk, run, and bike along Lake Champlain, Local Motion and our partners have built eight rest areas in some of the most beautiful places along the Champlain Bikeway.
