Bike Smart is Vermont's leading resource for teaching bike skills to kids. Local Motion provides schools and camps across the state with the training and resources they need to help kids become confident and competent bike riders. Best of all, it's free for schools that serve 50%+ low- to moderate-income families, and the costs are very reasonable for all other schools. Check our calendar to find out what schools are coming up on the schedule. If you would like your school to participate, fill out the request form and we'll be in touch!

Learn to Ride clinics are a great way for kids to lose the training wheels—in just a few hours! By removing the pedals from your child's bike and lowering the seat, you help your child break down learning to ride into two parts: first learning to balance, and only then incorporating how to pedal. Most children make significant progress in just one clinic, and go home ready to practice their new skills and take on biking at a new level. Check our calendar of clinics for a clinic near you!
