More of Vermont

New for 3-Day
and 4-Day trips
This year we’ll enjoy the Vermont shores of Lake Champlain all the way to the Canadian border. (For the past few years we have crossed to the New York side soon after the beginning of the tour.)

Ride across the Champlain Ice Bridge

New for 3-Day
and 4-Day trips
We have a new route into Montreal. On our 2012 tour, we’ll cross the St Lawrence River on the Champlain Ice Bridge. Originally built in 1964-1965 to control ice and erosion on the islands near Montreal – particularly the islands of Expo ’67- the Ice Bridge is used today for a cyclist and pedestrian connection between the South Shore and Nun’s Island.

The Atwater Farmer's Market

New for 3-Day trip
Once we cross the Ice Bridge, our route will take us to the Atwater Market in the Saint-Henri area of Montreal. Opened as a farmer’s market in 1933, it features both interior and exterior markets ranging from local farmer’s stalls to gourmet foods from around the world. Riders on the 3-Day trip will arrive at lunchtime. The market offers many delicious possibilities for refueling before riding into downtown Montreal. (4-Day riders will pass near the market, too, but will arrive later in the day after having lunch in Chambly.)

gouverneur

Our Montreal Hotel

New for 3-Day
and 4-Day trips
The Gouverneur Hotel Place Dupuis is a 4-star hotel in the heart of Montreal’s Latin quarter and just a block away from major bike thoroughfares. After settling into our rooms, we’ll be within a short walk of many Montreal attractions, including Old Montreal and many fine restaurants to choose from for your dinner on the town.
