TOUR ITINERARY

Friday, June 1

  • Depart from Snow Farm Vineyard in South Hero, VT in the morning
  • Cycle the Champlain Bikeway through rural northwestern Vermont and southern Quebec
  • Arrive at Auberge Harris in St. Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, and enjoy an evening along the Richelieu River

Saturday, June 2

  • Explore 40 miles of mostly off-road trails along Quebec's Route Verte including the Chambly Canal path and a visit to Fort Chambly
  • Enjoy the evening at the Gouverneur Place Dupuis in downtown Montreal, a perfect opportunity for you to enjoy a night on the town!
  • If you are interested in exploring Montreal by bike, there is a network of almost 200 miles of bike path to explore in and around the city. Maps are available.

Sunday, June 3

  • Ride in Montreal's famed Tour De L'Ile, a casual 35 mile pedal around the island with 30,000 other cyclists and we get to be at the front of the queue! (optional smaller ride too)
  • Return to Vermont by bus by late afternoon/early evening

  • After a short trip on the Grand Isle Ferry, debark at Plattsburgh and ride up the NY State side of Lake Champlain
  • We will explore 65 miles of scenic roads through the Islands, NY State, and into Quebec, making a visit to historic Fort Lennox located on an island on the Richelieu River
