Description
Red Rocks Park is 100 acres on Shelburne Bay; mostly wooded, kept in natural condition; 700 feet of public beach; several miles of trails for hiking, jogging, snow shoeing, and cross country skiing; parking; and picnicking. The park will be open daily from 9:00am-7:00pm, June 17th through August 21st, 2005. Season and daily parking passes are sold at the park entrance only, beginning June 17th.
Amenities
Amenities include a picnic area, trails for walking and running on, scenic overlooks, and many natural attractions; birds, wildlife, variety of trees, plants, and rock formations. The beach will be open during the park season and Lifeguards will be on duty Monday-Friday, 12:00-7:00pm and Saturday & Sundays from 11:00am-7:00pm. The beach includes a designated swimming area supervised by lifeguards, restrooms and changing areas. The beach is open to the general public. A daily or season pass is needed for parking.
