04/19/09 Drawn by abundant sunshine and warmer weather paddled Shelburne River for the first time. A couple hundred yards past second of two log jams kayak hit rocks. Turned around and paddled to Shelburne Bay Park/ Boat Ramp then back to Shelburne Road. What a wonderful trip winding through varied topography. Cliffs, forest to swamp. Several other paddlers were on the water some of which were Great Blue Herons, Ducks, Turtles, and Geese. Certainly a Must Paddle Again. Especially located. Close to town. |
