Richmond

Situated at the base of the Green Mountains, Richmond is bisected by three generations of transportation infrastructure and is poised to seize upon opportunities for the next generation of transportation. The town is bisected by the NRichmondRoundbarn.jpgew England Central Railroad, U.S. Route 2, Interstate-89, and is home to an important Park & Ride on the Green Mountain Transit route between Burlington and Montpelier.

Richmond is also home to an active trails committee, which works hard to establish and maintain non-motorized transportation and recreation paths throughout the town's rolling landscape. Long term goals in Richmond include a more walkable and vibrant downtown as well as a safer connection between downtown and the popular Park & Ride.  And the Cross Vermont Trail, a statewide network of cycling trails, comes right through the town of Richmond.

Local Motion is committed to supporting Richmond residents as they find their way to a more walkable, bikeable, and sustainable community.
