It's not winter anymore!  Spring has finally sprung!

Welcome to Local Motion's Student Resource Page! With spring just around the corner, now is the perfect time to get out on your bicycle and enjoy the weather Vermont should be known for! Cycling is a fun and relaxing way to get around the University of Vermont campus. Not only is cycling a great method of alternative transportation, but it's great for your health and the environment too! Use this website to learn more about riding opportunities on campus! This is a website for students, written by students.

**Local Motion is a local non-profit promoting bicycling, walking, running, in-line skating and the facilities that make such travel safe, easy, and fun! Partnering with University of Vermont Senior Scott Dolmat-Connell, this is a website for students, written by students.

Additional Comments
Give the website a test "spin" and feel free to add comments and suggestions in the Resources for Students blog! Remember, this is a public site graciously hosted by the awesome people down at Local Motion.  Don't write anything you wouldn't want your grandmother to see!

Bicyclist Bill of Rights Top 10 List

Often times, good bicycle and pedestrian facilities are often thrown by the wayside in favor of automobile centered infrastructure. At construction and road building sites the pedestrian is often treated like a second class citizen when compared to motorists. Special rights should be afforded to those who choose to use alternative modes of transportation such as bicycling. Here is a sample Bill of Rights for cyclists that could easily be implemented into the campus legislation. Take action and know your rights as a cyclist on the University of Vermont campus!
