How does it work?

Festival goers drop off their bike (or stroller, scooter, etc.) in a secure fenced area at the entrance to festivals, sporting events, and other high-traffic destinations to make bicycling convenient and to reduce traffic congestion. Volunteers watch the bicycles for the duration of the event so you can relax and have fun! Secure Bicycle Parking opens about an hour before an event and closes an hour after an event. Similar services are provided in bicycle-friendly cities across the nation.

Secure Bike Parking makes bicycling to events easier.  The Burlington Walk/Bike Council, Burlington Parks & Recreation, Local Motion and our many sponsors and volunteers hope to get more people out on bikes more often…for commuting, shopping, or going to school.
