Great Ice Disappearing

Ice Conditions: Friday, Mar 5

NOT GREAT: Yo-yo-ing temps have created a lot of slush and cracks in the ice. Skating is not recommended at this time.

The 3rd Annual Great Ice in Grand Isle was a great success. The conditions were epic and the hundreds of attendees had a wonderful time. Free Skating continues through March, call Hero's Welcome for current conditions: 802-372-4161.

February 6th kicked off this year's festivities and hundreds of outdoor enthusiasts enjoyed skating, a bonfire, a cookout, chili contest, iceboating, and hot chocolate. Last weekend featured the annual Frozen Chosen human-powered ice races (sponsored by Earl's Cyclery & Fitness) and the Ice Golf 9-hole tournament, Click here for photos. Bring your own skates and skate for free skating anytime on the groomed oval track and hockey rink. Skates, snowshoes and xc skis are available for rent at Hero's Welcome. Click here for pictures.
