The next presentation for the Great Streets Initiative will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at 7:00 PM in Contois Auditorium at City Hall.

The Great Streets Initiative is a culmination of many years of planning and project development with the citizens of Burlington, including the 2015 public vote to use the City’s downtown TIF district to make new investments in downtown public infrastructure. The initiative will create standards for the design of downtown streets, develop a Main Street concept plan, reconstruct Main Street (between Church and Pine), and redesign City Hall Park.

The November presentation will highlight the Main Street corridor and City Hall Park. The Main Street concept plans will be focused on improvements to the public right-of-way, including sidewalks, street trees, stormwater, lighting, and bike facilities. The design work for City Hall Park will advance concept plans that emerged from the 2012 Imagine City Hall Park process.
