5 Area Bike Shops Unite to Save Trail!

Vermont’s Bike-Friendly Ranking Surges!

After two years of declining rankings, advocates and public officials have successfully rebounded Vermont’s bike-friendly rating to 15th in the country.  As we continue to promote Vermont as a premier cycling destination, our ranking is good for business.

The shoreline of Lake Champlain has seen devastating flooding in recent weeks, damaging homes and natural areas. Our own Island Line Trail has especially taken a beating. Lake Champlain’s record high water has damaged many sections of Vermont’s most popular multi-use trail. Time will tell how bad the damage will be. Local Motion is working with trail managers to secure FEMA funding so repairs can be made.  Stay tuned.
