Former St. Albans resident Colleen Kelly Alexander was run over by a delivery truck while riding her bike home from work in Connecticut in October 2011. After spending 1 month on a respirator in ICU, undergoing multiple surgeries and receiving over fifty units of blood, she then went on to an additional month at a rehabilitation center. In December she was discharged home under daily nursing care where she continues her fight, awaiting several more upcoming surgeries. The long hospital stay, surgeries and rehabilitation are amounting to substantial medical bills for Colleen and her husband, Sean.

For many of us, Colleen has played a significant role in our lives. She’s been a mentor, a teacher, a great friend, and an inspiration to all of us. In the Saint Albans community, Colleen is well-known for her former role as Director of the Saint Albans Teen Center, dedicating herself to bettering our community as an influential mentor to teens in our area. To show Colleen our gratitude for all that she’s done for us and our community, we are organizing a fundraiser dinner hosted by Jeff’s Maine Seafood in Saint Albans, Vermont, to help Colleen and Sean through this difficult time.
Jeff’s Maine Seafood is generously donating their food and services for the fundraiser! Thank you Jeff’s!
