Help Us Get Spiked!

We need to ask a small favor. We’re trying to woo someone, but we want to be subtle about it. You see, we think they’re really cool and we want them to think we’re cool, too. But how can we tell them?

So we had this idea. We’d ask all of our friends to post on Twitter or Facebook this one message and get a real buzz built up. Then, and only then, will we get their attention.

Who is this special someone, you ask? We have our eyes on Spike Advertising, those fun marketing gurus right here in Burlington. We like their work. Plus they are offering $50K worth of professional services to one worthy non-profit, and well, we want to be the one.

So here’s the idea:

If you’re on Twitter, post the following:

Psst, hey @Spike_ad. I think someone is trying to get your attention: http://ow.ly/3PUud #btv #woothespike

Or on Facebook, Like their page and say something about why you think Local Motion deserves to win their favor.

Thanks everyone. This really means a lot :)

UPDATE: Our little serenade is going surprisingly well. Thanks to everyone who has helped out so far (click here for the stream). We’re not sure if they really hear us yet, so let’s keep this going. Please pass the message on to friends using Facebook, RTing, walkie-talkies, anything. We’ll do whatever it takes to win them over! Thank you!

UPDATE2: The Young Writers Project has challenged us to a duel! We’re just two of 37 other applicants to the Gone Good grant. Don’t let this stop us! Keep spreading the word!

Local Motion deserves to be SPIKED! They are already spoked. And if they win the award they'll be stoked!
