Eastern Mountain Sports sponsors school raffle bikes

A big THANK YOU to Paul Lesure at Eastern Mountain Sports on Dorset Street in South Burlington for providing high-quality Jamis bikes to Local Motion at half their retail price for use as Safe Routes to School raffle prizes!  Three lucky students from Chittenden County schools won the bikes when their schools raffled them off as prizes for students who walked or biked to school this past spring.

The Safe Routes to School program is on hiatus this fall while the state redesigns the program.  However, we hope to be back in gear first thing in 2011, and look forward to working with Eastern Mountain Sports and our many other partners to continue building a culture of walking and biking to school!
