On Wednesday 8/26,  we will start painting what we believe to be the largest outdoor mural in Vermont on the back of the Good News Garage, Very Merry Theater, and Bike Recycle Vermont building. Frank Gonzales, an amazing, energetic 85 year old community artist will be “orchestrating” the mural with as many volunteers of all ages who show up. Frank painted his first mural in Mexico in 1951. More recently, he escorted Samuel de Champlain around town and is well known for his puppet making talents. Seven Days has written about Frank, including a story about the mural project.

Volunteer: We need help painting until it’s done, which might be ~2 months. For info or weather updates call Bike Recycle: 264-9687.
