"Pathways and Pavement" by Burlington Geographic

The corridors and machines connecting us through time and space

Brennan Gauthier and Kyle Obenauer (VTrans State Archaeologist and Historic Preservation Specialist) take us on a tour of Burlington's transportation heritage via railroad, streetcar, and even horse-powered paddleboat. Luis Vivanco (Professor of Anthropology, UVM) explains Burlington's long love of bicycling, and turns our attention to modern transportation planning.

This event is the final program in Burlington Geographic's 6-part fall series connecting Burlington residents with the natural and cultural history of our shared city. For more information, see uvm.edu/burlgeo
